What we run, what stays with you
Production clusters run across three availability zones in OVHcloud Paris or Milan, or Scaleway Paris, Amsterdam or Warsaw. Temporal frontend, history and matching services are separately sized. PostgreSQL runs as a primary with a streaming replica and point-in-time recovery, tested on a schedule, not assumed.
Higher throughput moves persistence to Cassandra and visibility to OpenSearch. Same operations model, same cluster.
Workflow payloads can be encrypted client-side with a key you hold. We never need to read them to operate the cluster.
Two ways to deploy
Hosted EU
We provision the cluster in our account on OVHcloud, Scaleway or Hetzner. You get a private endpoint, namespaces, TLS certificates and a monthly report on backups, restore drills and upgrades. Infrastructure is billed at provider cost, itemised.
Bring your own cloud
We deploy and operate the same cluster inside an account you own, on OVHcloud, Scaleway, STACKIT or Hetzner. Data, disks and backups never leave your account. You pay the provider directly; you pay us a management fee. Access is scoped, logged and revocable by you.

Typical infrastructure for a three-zone production cluster is €480 to €560 a month on OVHcloud or Scaleway at September 2026 list prices. We pass it through unchanged.

We operate Cassandra 5 for high-throughput Temporal clusters: dedicated three-node clusters, replication factor 3, automated repair, snapshots and restore, rolling upgrades, on EU infrastructure or in your account. If you need it on its own, tell us.
Questions we get asked
- Is Coriolis Cloud the same as Temporal Cloud?
- No. Temporal Cloud is the multi-tenant SaaS run by Temporal Technologies on AWS and GCP. Coriolis Cloud is an independent service that runs dedicated Temporal clusters for you on European infrastructure or in your own account. We are not affiliated with Temporal Technologies.
- Can you take over our existing self-hosted Temporal cluster?
- Yes. We migrate existing self-hosted deployments, including Helm-based ones, into a managed cluster without changing your workflow code. The migration is planned around your persistence backend and namespaces.
- Where does our data live?
- In EU data centres: OVHcloud in France or Italy, Scaleway in France, the Netherlands or Poland, Hetzner in Germany or Finland. In the bring-your-own-cloud model everything stays in your own account. Workflow payloads can be encrypted client-side with a key you hold.
- Which persistence backends do you support?
- PostgreSQL for persistence and visibility by default. High-throughput clusters move persistence to Apache Cassandra and visibility to OpenSearch. All open source, all inside your cluster.
- Do our workers move to your platform?
- No. Workers, application code and SDKs stay in your infrastructure and connect to the managed Temporal endpoint over mTLS. Only the Temporal server, its database and backups are operated by us.
- How is this priced compared with per-action pricing?
- A fixed monthly management fee for a dedicated cluster, plus infrastructure at provider cost on production tiers. Cost does not grow with the number of workflow actions.
Where it runs and who runs it
- Data plane
- Your cluster, its database, backups and metrics run in EU data centres: OVHcloud (France, Italy), Scaleway (France, Netherlands, Poland), Hetzner (Germany, Finland). In BYOC, in your account.
- Operator
- Coriolis Cloud is operated by Coriol Lab, a company incorporated in Serbia, with engineers in Europe. Administrative access to your cluster is from Europe, logged, and scoped to operations. A Data Processing Agreement with EU Standard Contractual Clauses is part of every contract.
- Encryption
- TLS to the endpoint, mTLS between Temporal services, encrypted volumes and backups. Client-side payload encryption with your key is recommended and supported.
- Subprocessors
- EU infrastructure providers only, listed by name and location in the DPA. No US cloud provider in the data path.
- Software
- Temporal Server is open source under the MIT licence. We run upstream releases, one minor at a time, after rehearsing each upgrade on a copy of your cluster.
